During the massive redesign of ServiceMagic to HomeAdvisor in 2012, the company established their cost guide. After a few years and some testing HomeAdvisor decided to brand their powerful cost guide tool to give it more of a presence on the site.
This effort to brand the cost guide started with the conceptualization of a logo for the new True Cost Guide. The logo project was a collaborative project amongst a couple of the members of the design team. As a group we brainstormed and researched solid trends in trustworthy logos and implemented those logos in creative mock ups. Two logos were selected and merged together to the finalized logo.
After the new logo was finalized, I was responsible for redesigning, updating, and retrofitting responsiviness for the entire look of the True Cost Guide pages on the HomeAdvisor site. The company needed to reduce production time for the developers- so the business requirements need the new design to fit into the exact wireframes of the existing pages while updating the style.
